(1) "Polyroof PP construction method" --- Waterproofing system for rooftop parking lots
Materials used for rooftop parking decks should have functions of being waterproofing, road-paving and finishing. The Polyroof PP construction method is a "composite waterproofing system" that can meet these three requirements by combining flexible urethane coating and strong FRP waterproofing.
(2) "Polyroof rooftop gardening system"
In order to ease heat-island phenomenon, reduce CO2 and save energy, various measures are now implemented in urban areas on a global scale. Under the circumstances, tree planting on rooftop is expected to play an important role. However, it is an undeniable fact that there are many problems such as loading capacity, maintenance and management in Japan where we often experience earthquakes. The rooftop tree-planting system has succeeded in solving these problems; reducing the loading weight, and easing maintenance and management.
"P-Planter rooftop gardening system"
Like the Polyroof PP construction method, this system has realized a new life space co-existent with greenery on the rooftop by thorough reduction of material's weight. It also is based on the concept that "whenever" and "wherever" this system can be realized "simply."
"Poly-pla wall"
This is a knockdown FRP parting wall exclusive for tree planting on the rooftop. This is strong against shock and light in weight, one-fifth the weight of GRC-made panels, thus decreasing the load on the rooftop.
"Poly-planter"
This FRP-made planter is so light in weight that transport and setting can be done easily. If a water vessel is prepared under the planter, it is possible to collect rainwater so that water for trees can be saved.
"Boxia"
This is a newly designed planter with simple coloring. It is made of FRP and has a unique design of mirror-face finishing, and its invisibly set casters allow for easy movement. A large-size model with a size of 1m×1m is also available.
(3) Waterproof system for balconies of wooden houses
"Polyroof waterproofing method for balconies of wooden houses"
Currently the FRP waterproofing, which is light in weight and assures solid walk, is mainly adopted for balconies of wooden houses. However, as the "Polyroof waterproofing method for balconies of wooden houses" has various types of methods, such as the "MPS method," a standardized one, and the "SPS method" that utilizes thermal insulators placed on the slant, so it is advisable to choose the most suitable one according to each use. Because the balcony just under which there is a living space (so-called a roof balcony) is regarded as a roof in terms of structure, it must comply with the fireproof stipulations for roofs regulated by the Construction Standards Act. All types of the "Polyroof waterproofing method for balconies of wooden houses" have already cleared the above-mentioned stipulations. (Authorization No. DR-0261)
"Environment-minded composite FRP waterproofing system"
The "environment-minded composite FRP waterproofing system" employs the Polyroof MNS method, which combines improved asphalt sheets, FRP waterproof utilizing non-styrene resin, and water topcoat. Compared to the conventional ones, this system reduces odor to a great extent at the time of construction and also heightens reliability by adding asphalt sheets. In addition, because the water topcoat (natural coat system) is easily decorated, it is possible to give a natural granite-like finish. Thanks to its characteristics of adding the use of asphalt sheets and of reducing odor to a great extent, the MNS method is most suitable for both new construction and the repair works of balconies of wooden houses.
